Le r\u00f4le important de la ventilation dans la lutte contre les infections a\u00e9rog\u00e8nes a \u00e9t\u00e9 largement discut\u00e9 dans des \u00e9tudes ant\u00e9rieures, mais peu d&#8217;attention a \u00e9t\u00e9 accord\u00e9e \u00e0 la situation dans les salles de classe, o\u00f9 les enfants passent de longues heures chaque jour. Une \u00e9tude documentaire a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9e afin d&#8217;identifier les strat\u00e9gies de ventilation existantes dans les salles de classe, d&#8217;\u00e9valuer leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les a\u00e9rosols infectieux et de chercher \u00e0 les am\u00e9liorer. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 conclu que les salles de classe sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e9quip\u00e9es d&#8217;une ventilation naturelle ou d&#8217;une ventilation m\u00e9canique mixte, qui ne sont pas enti\u00e8rement capables de traiter les transmissions d&#8217;a\u00e9rosols \u00e0 longue et courte distance. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, les conceptions de ventilation requises, y compris les taux de ventilation et les mod\u00e8les de distribution de l&#8217;air, ne sont toujours pas claires. Les normes et directives actuelles en mati\u00e8re de ventilation des salles de classe se concentrent principalement sur la qualit\u00e9 per\u00e7ue de l&#8217;air, alors que la ventilation disponible dans de nombreuses \u00e9coles ne r\u00e9pond pas \u00e0 ces crit\u00e8res, ce qui entra\u00eene une mauvaise qualit\u00e9 de l&#8217;air int\u00e9rieur (QAI). De nouvelles m\u00e9thodes de ventilation sont n\u00e9cessaires dans les salles de classe, o\u00f9 la conception doit passer du confort \u00e0 la sant\u00e9. Les syst\u00e8mes de ventilation personnalis\u00e9s ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les occupants des a\u00e9rosols g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par un contact \u00e0 courte distance et \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la QAI locale, ce qui peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour compenser les r\u00e9gimes de ventilation existants.
